Transportation and Parking

The Civic Opera House can be conveniently accessed by several public transportation options. CTA operates buses that stop at or near the building. The CTA Orange Line (Washington/Wells Stop) and Metra service at Ogilvie Transportation Center are also nearby.

For those travelling by car, there are several parking garages near the Civic Opera Building. Most guests attending our sessions park at Interpark Parking Garage at 217 West Washington Street. Rates are subject to change and posted at the garage entrances on Washington Street or Wells Street.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be in writing (send an email to and will not be accepted over the phone. Cancellations must be received at least two (2) business days prior to a workshop for a full refund, less ($15.00) service charge. Alternatively, the participant may have a full amount of the workshop applied to another workshop within the same fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). No refunds will be granted for cancellations requested the day before and/or on the day of the workshop. Individuals who fail to cancel their registration in writing are responsible for full payment. The Illinois Administrators’ Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop at anytime. In the event of cancellation and/or rescheduling, participants may either request a full refund or have the registration fee applied to another IAA workshop.

Session Cancellation Policy

For any session to take place as scheduled, a minimum of 10 individuals must be registered seven days prior to the scheduled date. In the event that the minimum number of registrants is not met, the Illinois Administrators' Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session. In the event of session cancellation or rescheduling, registrants will be contacted and presented with options to request a full refund or transfer their registration fee to another session during the same school year.
